In a town in Texas, at the request of his pastor, a young associate pastor named Jim Raybrun began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.
Today, Young Life is a global organization with local focus. You'll find Young Life leaders from diverse cultures, nationalities and backgrounds in over 100 countries around the world.
Whether it's in cities or villages, towns or tower blocks, in countries on every continent, Young Life leaders are working with over two million young people, right in their own neighborhoods.
Since 1941, Young Life leaders have walked with kids and earned the right to be heard in an exhausting and exciting world. In 2018, 348,000 kids were involved every week all around the world.

Fun Fact: Eyan was a student in Young Life here in Lampasas and wanted to give back so he join the team of leaders to help introduce more students to Jesus Christ. Eyan is a very talented musician.
Fun Fact: Edward is the auto mechanics teacher at LHS. He loves being an adult leader and sharing his love of Jesus Christ with students.
Fun Fact: Vanna not only is a doctor that cares for people's physical health but she always pours into students in order for them to be spiritually healthy too.
Fun Fact: John is an incredible musician, he is also the Youth Pastor at FUMC.
Fun Fact: Drew is all about students from her job to giving softball lessons to sharing the love of Jesus with them.
Fun Fact: Emily led High School Students when she attended Texas State and recently felt like it was time lead again.
Fun Fact: Claire was a young life student in high school and she knows the importance of having a trusted adult to be invested in a student's life.
Fun Fact: Keona truly has a servant's heart and takes every opportunity she has to enter a relationship with students in order to point them towards Jesus.
